Podcast About Improving The World

A Simple Idea for a Better World

For this task, I was asked to create a 60-second podcast that introduces an inspiring idea to make the world a better place. At first, I wanted my idea to be both creative and realistic. That made the beginning a bit challenging, it wasn’t easy to find something meaningful that could truly improve the world.

Eventually, I decided to simplify my thoughts and focus on something small but powerful. That’s how I came up with the idea of The Compliment Chain. I believe that if we could apply this in real life — if everyone gave one sincere compliment a day and passed it on — the world would be a much more peaceful and beautiful place to live in. A kind word might sound small, but it has the power to change someone’s whole day, maybe even their life.

Creating the podcast was a new experience for me. It was a bit stressful at first, especially trying to keep it exactly 60 seconds, but I enjoyed the process once I got into it. It helped me express myself in a creative way and made me think about how powerful simple ideas can be.

In the future, I would love to assign a similar task to my students. It encourages critical thinking, creativity, and real-world awareness. Tasks like this don’t just improve language skills, they help shape thoughtful individuals.

Thanks for taking the time to listen! I hope my idea encourages you to spread a little more positivity in the world. Remember, small gestures can make a big difference!

Behind the Screen: The Reality of Cyberbullying

 Creating an Infographic on Cyberbullying

Hi everyone:)
Presenting my infographic on cyberbullying – enjoy exploring the facts and insights!

For my latest assignment, I was tasked with creating an infographic to visually communicate a topic related to one of the following ethical and legal issues in technology use: plagiarism, copyright and fair use, safety and privacy, netiquette, or cyberbullying. I decided to focus on cyberbullying. This is a relevant and important issue that many students can relate to, and it is crucial to raise awareness about its impact in both the online and real world.

The design process for this infographic was both exciting and challenging. I used Canva, a user-friendly tool that offers numerous templates, icons, and design elements. The platform made it easy to experiment with different layouts and colors. Initially, I tried using Pictochart, but I couldn't quite get the hang of it, so I switched to Canva.

One difficulty I encountered was selecting the right visuals that would effectively convey the message without overwhelming the audience. I spent a lot of time refining the design to ensure that the infographic was visually appealing while being informative.

Infographics can be really helpful in the English classroom! They make it easier for students to understand tricky ideas by showing them in a fun, visual way. When students create infographics, they get to practice summarizing information, doing research, and being creative. Plus, infographics help students show what they’ve learned in a cool, visual format, which is perfect for those who learn better by seeing things. I also learned new things by creating my first infographic on a topic!

Infographics not only support academic learning but also encourage students to think critically and creatively about how to present information effectively.

Thank you for taking the time to read it.
See you in the next post!
